2013

Greenpoint, Cape Town, South Africa

This is a renovation to an existing house. A series of structural steel beams were inserted into the ceiling voids of the ground storey to allow the living spaces to be made open plan. New glazing was added to the external envelope and the result of the architectural changes is a much improved interior feel, increasing the perceived size of the spaces. A new kitchen and scullery was added, and serves as the new central hub of the living space.
